in one of the episodes from 'the oprah winfrey show'....

oprah wanted to share with her audience about her encounter with Jesus.

In 1985, she badly wanted to act in a play but was rejected because she was abit on the big side.

rejected,she became obsessed and craved to have that role no matter what but she had to lose weight. being on the big side, it seemed impossible for her to lose those pounds.

so she started praying. She prayed and prayed to God, asking Him to remove this obsession which she had. she wanted God to take it away from her. it must have been very tiring for her to live and crave for something which she knows she'll never have.

she prayed and prayed and as she prayed, she began singing. she sang "i surrender all to You''. she prayed and sang and prayed even more and sang even longer. she said, just then she saw Jesus coming down and taking it all from her. It seemed that her burden was lifted up from her. It was an experience which she'll never forget when Jesus came down and took it all from her. she learnt how to surrender everthing to someone at High.

After her encounter, she headed for the cafeteria (audience giggles) to eat. just then, she received a call from steven spielberg asking her if she was interested in the role. she asked what about her problematic weight? his reply: you'll never get that role if u loose a pound.

since then, her life has never been the same.
